Chelsea Williams

Singer-Songwriter, Chelsea Williams accomplished something unheard of: she sold over 100,000 CDs one by one singing on the streets of Los Angeles. Inspired by an unusual attraction to a variety of musical styles including legendary artists like Neil Young and Sheryl Crow, Chelsea picked up the guitar at an early age and started writing music soon after. She got her start by playing her brand of folk-pop at clubs and coffee shops in and around Los Angeles, but soon discovered that she could cause a bigger stir by playing on the streets of Santa Monica, California. She stops people passing by in their tracks, shaking them away from their everyday lives with her hauntingly soulful voice and quiet confidence.

Nowadays, the darling of the Santa Monica Promenade has gained recognition well outside her musical home base. Last year she was picked to star in a Chevrolet commercial depicting the familiar role of a street musician who who plays coffee shops and subway stations. Soon after filming the Chevy Cruze commercial, Chelsea was signed to Interscope Records by A&R Executive Larry Jackson. She has since released an EP with Interscope. Her latest claim to fame is appearing in a recent Maroon 5 video, Singing their #1 song Daylight (Playing for Change) with Adam Levine. The Chelsea Williams featured video has enjoyed a long run at the top of the VH1 Top 20 Countdown charts for over 3 months and held the number 1 spot for several weeks! Whether it's being featured on the Today Show or opening up for acts like Dwight Yoakam, The Avett Brothers, Colin Hay and Tyler Hilton; Chelsea is always busy and chances are you will continue to see this rising starlet again and again.
