Shawn Felipe

Shawn is from Honolulu, Hawaii. He attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Theatrical Arts and TV production. Shawn’s stand-up comedy acts have been featured on various networks, including “Worldasia TV,” “AZN TV,” “AZN TV,” IA TV,” “The Filipino Channel,” “Sprint Comedy-Time Network” and “National Lampoon Comedy Radio.”

Besides his experience in stand-up comedy, Shawn also has forayed into the acting industry. He has appeared in TV shows, indie films and commercials-  Panda Express, Budlight, Pizza Hut and Pocari Sweat, to name a few- and has guest starred in “Hawaii,” NBC’s cop TV series. Shawn has also performed with many acclaimed comedians such as Russell Peters, Anjelah Johnson and Jokoy.

Shawn is passionate about his work in comedy, doing both private and corporate gigs including those of Budweiser, Kaiser Permanente, Hawaii Food Bank, and the American Cancer Society, as well as for military, various churches and college tours. His performances have earned him nominations for several prestigious awards, including “Best New Artist” at 2009 Hawaii Music Awards, “Best Take-Out Comic in Hawaii” and “Top 7th Comic at the 36th Annual International Comedy Competition in 2011.

Based on demand, Shawn’s live stand-up performances continue to extend worldwide from the U.S to Singapore, Canada, Japan, and the Middle East, as well as to College's nationwide. Most recently, Shawn and a team from Hawaii- “ALOHA PLATE”- casted in Season 4 of “The Food Network’s No.2-ranked reality show, “The Great Food Truck Race.” . The “ALOHA PLATE” food truck ended up winning the Season Four, with a Grand prize of $50,000 and a state of an art Food Truck.
